Screenvision Deal With Ultrastar Creates First-Ever Completely Digital Cinema Experience

Exclusive Agreement Pairs Screenvision’s High-Definition Digital Preshow With UltraStar’s Big-D Feature Film Projection

Deal Also Adds 102 UltraStar Screens throughout Los Angeles And San Diego Markets to Screenvision’s On-Screen Advertising Network

Screenvision, the nation’s leading in-cinema advertising company, and theatre exhibitor UltraStar are bolstering their highly-successful partnership with a new, exclusive multi-year deal. As part of the agreement, the companies will work together to install Screenvision’s leading-edge high-definition digital cinema technology for 102 UltraStar screens throughout Los Angeles and San Diego. As UltraStar is the first theatre group in the United States to offer completely digitized feature films on all of its screens, the groundbreaking installation of Screenvision’s digital preshow network will result in a movie-going experience that is 100 percent digital from the preshow beginning until the end of the feature film.

“This is an exciting point in the growth of digital cinema projection,” said Darryl Schaffer, executive vice president of exhibitor relations at Screenvision. “We have a tremendous partner in UltraStar, and are proud to be breaking ground on the 100 percent digital cinema experience with them.”

Under the terms of the new agreement, Screenvision will represent UltraStar for both on-screen advertising and in-lobby marketing and promotions.
